The Doctor and assistant
at Aztec Animal Hospital wear protective lead lined gloves and aprons. Occasional exposure to
diagnostic x-rays for your pet is not hazardous, but for someone who is utilizing
x-ray equipment repeatedly, day after day, protection from
unnecessary radiation is very important.
Radiology or X-rays help our veterinarians evaluate
muscular,
skeletal, cardiovascular (cardiopulmonary),
gastrointestinal, reproductive and
urinary systems. With an X-ray machine on
site, we can provide you with a quick diagnosis through X-ray evaluation
and set a plan for your pet. Careful analysis of
radiographs contributes to an accurate diagnosis and it could be life saving for your pet.
X-rays can be sent out to specialists via mail or e-mail for further evaluation and diagnostics.
